The students of YPS participated in different Round Square Conferences held lately. A group of 6 delegates with a teacher escort attended an online Round Square Conference hosted by Chadwick International School, South Korea. The delegates reflected their views on Leadership during Pandemic. They also learned how people from different parts of the world have come together to serve community during crises.
A zoom postcard meet was hosted by Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar. The group of 6 delegates discussed on the theme ‘Be a rainbow in someone’s life’. This meeting helped students understand the value of compassion. How important it is to lend a helping hand to other during the time of distress.
In an another conference hosted by DAIS and SAI, students discussed on the theme ‘Costal impact, education and research’. Group of 7 delegates along with teacher escort participated in this conference. The delegates learned about their responsibilities towards changing climate.
A Round Square Virtual Conference hosted by Thomas More College, South Africa enlightened students on the theme ‘Leadership for our time’. The idea and meaning of ‘Leadership’ in the present time was discussed in this session. The Speaker of the session Ms. Lindewe Rakharbee presented the keynote address on “Leadership-Be Willing to Evolve”. She discussed the core values of being a leader and projected a clear understanding of the importance of True Education, Integrity, Moral Behaviour, Innovation, Strategic thinking, Commitment and Accountability.
These conferences were a learning process for all the delegates; coming together and meeting people from the world around even in isolation.
