Dear Parent,

This is with regard to the IPSC GK Test’2017 to be conducted on Sept 9th, 2017 in the premises of our school.

It would not only help the child to grow both on personal as well as academic level, but also build up their confidence.

The syllabus for the same has been designed with an aim that students get motivated & encouraged to enhance their general knowledge & general awareness, which indeed is the need of hour. The syllabi is attached.

The class wise breakup of the syllabus in four categories, is attached herewith for your kind reference & intimating the students.

Please note that the syllabus may appear to be same in different categories/levels, however, the level of questions framed will match the level of the students as per the categories. It has been already mentioned on the YPS School app that the subscription for the IPSC GK test has been revised from Rs 50/- to Rs 100/- per student and will be accordingly charged to the students account.

The ISC and ICSE results -2017 were declared on Monday, May 29, and YPS, Patiala, students performed remarkably well.

In ISC (Class XII) all students (less two) have secured a first class. The school has this year surpassed last year’s result wherein 25 students have scored over 90% with 8 students scoring above 96%. 62% of the students have scored above 80%

The first three positions have been secured by (English plus best three subjects)

  • Pulak Goel ( Commerce)-96.5%
  • Parth Vats( Science) and Dhruv Kaushik ( Humanities ) – 96.25%
  • Naman Singla ( Humanities)-96%


 In ICSE (Class X), 22% students have scored over 90%, with 14 students scoring above 95% and 61% of the students scoring above 80%

The first three positions have been secured by (English plus best three subjects)

  • Anoopinder Kaur – 97.6%
  • Jayesh Singla – 97.4%
  • Raushni Kaura- 97.0%


The School Director, Major General Sanjiv Varma, congratulating   the  successful candidates, has  applauded the role of the school staff and expressed hope that the school shall continue to do even better in the times to come .
