YPS CELEBRATED 70TH REPUBLIC DAY

With freedom in our mind, strength in our words, zeal in our hearts and pride in our souls….let us salute our nation on The Republic Day.

Everyone’s hearts were filled with reverence, patriotism and zeal on the celebration of the 70th Republic Day. The red letter day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Yadavindra Public School, Patiala. on January 26, the ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag. This was accompanied by the rendition of the National Anthem. The programme moved forward with serving community lunch by the staff and the students.

The students displayed variety of performances dedicated to this special occasion, during the morning assembly. Seven students of the MiddIe wing performed a spectacular play describing the importance of fundamental rights and duties of citizens of India. The Junior school assembly began with utter enthusiasm and patriotism when the choir students started singing patriotic song. It was followed by beautiful rendition of poem dedicated to the national festival. The students of classes II-V performed a mesmerising dance to raise the spirit of nationalism.

The performances of Prep-II students filled the air with patriotic fervour. The activity area echoed the lyrics of the song “Saare jahan se achha…Hindusitan hamara…” , sung by our tiny tots. They also performed an engaging dance performance on a patriotic song. The Director of YPS, Maj Gen Sanjiv Varma prevailed on the young minds to be a good citizens and always pay reverence tos the integrity, dignity and uniqueness of the nation.

On this 70th Republic Day, the entire school was resplendent in the shades of tricolour.
