Admission Procedure


Pre-Admission Information

 

 

PRE-ADMISSION INFORMATION

  • In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the school begins admissions from Nursery.
  • Day Scholars: Boys and girls are admitted to classes Nursery to II as day scholars.
  • Boarding Admission: Boarding starts from Class III.
  • Classes III to IX and XI are open for boarders.
  • Readmission Policy:
  -Admission for students from Nursery to Class V shall be valid up to Class V only.
  -For further studies, the student must seek re-admission as a boarder.
  -Limited number of students may be readmitted as Day Scholar as per policy of the school from time to time.
  -The norms for class-age relationship are as follows:

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

STEP 1 : Registration:

1. Registration Fee: Rs 8700 (non-refundable).

2. Online Registration:

  1. Visit the school website: www.ypspatiala.in
  2. Navigate to the Admissions tab and click on Register Online.
  3. Fill out the registration form and make the payment via the online payment link.
  4. An acknowledgment receipt will be generated after submission. Retain this for future reference.

Documents required at the time of Entrance Test:

1. One Passport size photographs of the child.
2. Self-attested copies of:
·       Photocopy of Birth certificate of the child duly (issued by Registrar, Births & Deaths).
·       Aadhaar Card (child, parents, local guardian).
·       Address proof (if not included in the Aadhaar Card).
·       Local guardian's ID proof and one photograph.

STEP 2 :Entrance Test

  • Test dates will be communicated via email, WhatsApp, or phone.
  • Conducted from December 2024 to March 2025, or until seats are filled.
  • Based on the syllabus provided by the school.
  • Admission is granted based on:
·      Performance in the Entrance Test.
·      Interview with the Headmaster.

For class XI Admissions
1. Admission is based on:
·       Pre-board result.
·       Entrance test performance.
·       Interview with the Headmaster.
2. All Class XI admissions are provisional until Class X board results are declared.

STEP 3 : Admission Confirmation

Admission must be confirmed by depositing the admission fee at the school office within the given time and date.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION

1.     Admission form: Duly filled and and signed by the parents & guardian.
2.     Undertakings and Medical History Forms:Provided by the office.
3.     Parent's Educational Qualification Certificates:Self Attested Photocopies required.
4.     School leaving Certificate:
·    Original & photocopy of the Final term report card (For Class III to IX).
5.     Class XI Admissions:
·     Detail Marks Card and Pass Certificate (ICSE/CBSE/Other School Boards).
·     Original school leaving certificate
·    Documents must be submitted within a week of declaration of results.Failure to do so will result in cancellation of provisional admission.
6.     Transfer student (Punjab Students): Registered on epunjabschool.gov.in.

CLASS XI ADMISSION DETAILS

The number of seats on offer will depend on availability of vacancies.

  • Pre-Board Marks Criteria:
  • ·    Science: 80% average in core subjects, 75% aggregate
    ·    Commerce:75% average in relevant subjects, 70% aggregate
    ·    Humanities:65% average in relevant subjects, 60% aggregate

  • ·    Regular classes begin April 15.
