CHAMPIONS RUN HARD, WHEN IT IS HARD TO RUN…… CROSS COUNTRY PHASE 1

Cross Country is not just about running but to test and push your limits. Inter house Cross Country is one such sport where your dedication, determination and discipline is tested.

The phase I Interhouse Cross Country Race for the session 2022-23 took place at YPS, Patiala on Sunday. Around 700 students from class VI –XII tested their energy and stamina after a sedentary lifestyle during 2 years of pandemic. The Director, Maj Gen Sanjiv Varma flagged off the race in the morning at 6:00 AM.

They had to run along the distance of approximately 2- 7 Kms. The students were divided in four groups and their paths were directed to them beforehand. The staff members deployed on different turning points ensured the discipline and safety of the students. 

Cross Country Run comes under the umbrella sport Athletics, and is the most awaited Inter House event in YPS. The second and deciding phase of this Inter House battle will be held in the month of February 2023.
