Meharinder Singh XII Com 6. Dilraj Singh XII Arts This Round square gave students a new perspective on war and its consequences on the world. Through the speeches of eminent speakers, they became aware about the various geo political and economic factors responsible for war. The need for empires or countries to showcase their strength and dominance over weaker nations have resulted in various wars over the centuries resulting in great loss to both human life and property on both sides. A recent example would be the Russia-Ukraine conflict which has shook the world to its core. Feedback of students: “This Round Square event taught us that there are no true winners in war and the people who lose the most are the ones who are the common people and are forced to separate from their families and lose their livelihood to these conflicts. War should be avoided at all costs, any conflicts that may arise between countries or nations should be now dealt peacefully by coming to treaties.
We were taught about the reasons due to which major wars were fought throughout history and how they could have been dealt with without going to war and saving the world a lot of casualties and loss to property. This showed us how important education is and how it could have prevented so many of these wars.
