A CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA AT FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS

The foundation day celebrations included a mesmerising cultural extravaganza in the evening where the students showcased the best of their talents. The function was graced by the presence of the esteemed YPS Board of Governors, AYOSA executives, eminent guests, old students, YPS staff, students and their parents. The school hymn "Showers of Blessings" gave a holy start to the event. It was followed by an electrifying Rock Band performance by YPS students. A Sufi dance was presented by class IV and V girls of Junior wing. YPS, Mohali girls" Gidhha and Bhangra performances from old students and present Yadavindrians raised the energy levels of the show. The old teachers and veteran Old Yadavindrians were felicitated in the ceremony. A colourful folk dance extravaganza by 63 school girls of all three houses was a feast for the eyes. An old student Mr. R.S.Sethi of 1973 batch presented the commemorative coins minted by Government of Nepal, to the school. The Nepal government had issued these coins of denomination of 100, 1000 and 2500 Nepali Rupees to mark 550th birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The celebrations culminated on a very happy note with many more memories to linger on until they create the new ones and the YPS team pledged to embrace the beliefs on which the school was founded, not only for the present but for all the next generations to come as they believe in growing while still sticking to their roots.
