Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, marked its 75th Annual Sports Day on Saturday. The YPS board of Governors, the parents of all the students and the alumni of the 1973 Golden jubilee batch witnessed this celebration of the school.
The day was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Lt Gen (Dr.) J S Cheema, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.), Vice Chancellor, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Sports University, Patiala.
The two best athletes of the school lit the ceremonial flame, kick-starting an event filled with energy and enthusiasm. Over 1300 students showcased their athletic prowess, demonstrating the perfect blend of mind and body in events like Yoga, Zumba, Aerobics, and PT. The celebration was not just about competitions; it was a tribute to the enduring spirit of YPS. The alumni from the Golden Jubilee batch of 1973 revisited the tracks, adding their unmatched zeal to the festivities. The stadium reverberated with applause as winners were honoured, marking a day of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
